Intercept Announces the Release of a New Graphical Interface

Mozaix v3.0 Increases Usability and Reduces Time-to-Market Schedule

Atlanta, GA -January 2006- Intercept Technology Inc., a leader in advanced PCB/Hybrid/RF electrical engineering applications, is proud to announce the release of Mozaix version 3.0, Intercept's high-performance schematic capture application for rapid design entry. With version 3.0, Mozaix users get far more  than the usual improvements that Intercept offers in regular software releases. This new version, rebuilt from the ground up, offers hundreds of enhancements to become a revolutionary concept in schematic capture software. Mozaix version 3.0 also presents an exciting first look at the new direction for the entire Intercept product line.

Mozaix 3.0 offers a completely redesigned graphical user interface and new user-friendly features including:

  • Dynamic toolbars and movable menus that can stand alone  or be docked.
  • A multi-functional design explorer panel for browsing one or more schematic designs, parts, and symbols. The design explorer allows  users to:
    • Place parts and symbols straight from the  explorer with drag-and-drop functionality.
    • Set edit mode options on the fly, reducing design entry time and eliminating the need to navigate to specific dialogs.
    • Copy and paste designs, sheets, symbols, and parts.
  • The ability to select design objects throughout the entire database with user-specified constraints, reducing repetitive edits and  design cleanup time.
  • The ability to copy or cut and paste design sections from sheet to sheet.
  • A DRC panel that allows users to view and correct errors on the fly while scrolling through the DRC report.
  • A new Pin Editor (with the ability to auto-generate the pins around a symbol body) and Property Editor, which offer the ability to copy and paste data from external files, as well as many new features designed to enhance usability and editing times.

"We listened to our customers, and we believe we have exceeded their expectations," stated Craig Yano, Intercept's Director of Marketing at the  company's Atlanta headquarters. "The look and feel of the Mozaix 3.0 interface combined with powerful usability puts Intercept on the cutting edge of schematic software development.

"This is the most modern approach to schematic capture in the EDA industry in the last decade." Colin Jennings, Intercept's Director of Engineering, provided more detail as to the future of  the software engineering projects ahead: "Mozaix is merely the first in the Intercept product line that we plan to redesign and enhance with cutting-edge features. We've got a strong team behind us to present the industry with the new face of Intercept products."
