In a surprise move, version 3.1 was bypassed in favor of Mozaix version 4.0, which includes the new Xtent Technology Rules Editor and constraint manager. Schematic engineers can now define and assign all layout rules in Xtent, just as Pantheon designers are able to do using Pantheon version 6.0. Along with hundreds of enhancements, this version boasts brand new connectivity handling that ensures greater ease of use and data integrity by interactively assisting engineers in making net connections to minimize design errors. For a list of more recent enhancements, read the following: Xtent Technology Rules Editor with High Speed Constraint Management Now Available • Full technology rules definition and assignment with updated user interface features. • High speed design options for defining signal paths, with auto-create signal path capability. • Xtent is available in core Mozaix, with the option to purchase a high speed design option license. User Requested Updates • Open file paths and web links directly from Mozaix. • Place text directly from a text file into a sheet or symbol. • Read and write environment settings now available. • Pin swap mode now swaps both the pin name and number. • No-connect pins display "X" no-connect status on pin icons. • Print to any True-Type font. • Drag-and-drop sheet organization in the Project Explorer. • Global nets can be set to a different color. • DRCs: more accurate flagging, new checks available. • Enhancements to Import Edif and Import Protel.
