New Interactive Routing Now Available in Pantheon v5.1

Intercept Announces the Release of Pantheon 5.1 with Auto-Interactive Routing Technology

San Jose - March 27, 2006- At this week's Printed Circuit Board Design Conference West in Santa Clara,  Intercept Technology Inc., a leader in advanced PCB/Hybrid/RF electrical  engineering applications, announces the release of significant routing  enhancements powered by A.I.R. (Auto-Interactive Routing) technology. This new  technology vastly improves designer productivity and reduces routing cycle  times by as much as 60%. The new A.I.R. technology is available in version 5.1 of Pantheon, Intercept's layout design application. This new technology includes powerful enhancements such as:

  • Guide Route, a routing mode which ghosts routes by following the mouse pointer real-time and avoids obstacles automatically as they are encountered.
  • Dynamic  shoving that can be used with Guide Route to move existing wires out of the way of the existing route.
  • Multi-Route, a powerful bus routing option that pulls large numbers of routes from dense  BGAs and avoids pin obstacles cleanly.

"AIR Technology represents a tremendous step forward in routing productivity," stated Craig Yano, from the Santa Clara Convention Center where the event is being held. "This new routing technology has been developed through collaboration with many customers. We regularly partner with  customers for significant development efforts to ensure the new technology adheres to their needs as well as that of the industry."

"Improving productivity in routing is the primary driving force of EDA," stated Colin Jennings, Intercept's Director of Engineering. "Having the opportunity to deliver leading edge routing capabilities for our entire user base represents a huge accomplishment for Pantheon and its development team."
