WELCOME TO INDX, Intercept's high performance symbol and part library management software solution. Indx includes capabilites for conversion, creation and management of all library data in one application. With its intuitive user interface, real-time status display, spreadsheet views that allow for batch editing on the fly, quick search and edit, symbol and geometry previews, and complete commit history tracking with versioning, librarians are given a transparent view into their library data that allows for easy modifications and notification of users when a new part or modification is ready for use.
For best-in-class performance, Indx utilizes a part database interface with MySQL for repository and searching purposes. Coupled with Indx and Mozaix's streamlined library search methods, location and placement of parts and symbols is over twenty times faster using the new relational database model. In addition, users receive real-time, up to date information with unparalleled speed and accuracy.
Indx supports a streamlined "edit in place" data management model that enables engineering users and one or more library developers to work simultaneously on library objects, while reducing a company library down to a single active version. This is made possible by a librarian locking system that locks a library object at its last active version until the librarian promotes it for use among the user community. Once the changes are promoted and therefore visible to the users, Mozaix and Pantheon's library update routines notify users of a new version that can be automatically updated in the current session. Thus, the part request life cycle is transparent to both user and librarian from concept to realization with no interruption of schematic or layout design activities.
Indx works with Intercept’s existing suite of library translators for importing Mentor Graphics™, Altium™, and Cadence™ library formats (any library format can be converted with Intercept conversion services, however), allowing corporations to consolidate multi-vendor EDA libraries into a common Intercept format. This powerful conversion engine enables businesses to transition multiple libraries to one format that reflects a consistent standard for symbols, geometries, and part descriptions.
